Help Give a Pet a Home
Three Cuties and a couple of Little Rascals are ready and waiting for a home!
Pet Assessment
Aya
is a beautiful Short Haired German Shepherd. She is about 5-6 years
with a very puppy like temperament. There is no dominance or food
aggression. Aya has been staying with me, Adena from Generation Pets,
for almost a week now. She is fine with my 3 year old son, fine in
the car, great in the house (no urination/defecation or destruction).
She actually loves to be in the house! When she is roaming free in
my backyard she runs to the door telling me she wants to go back in!
Aya is drawn to a female owner. This does not mean that a man could not adopt her, but what I see from her is that she is more bonded with females. The only behavior problem I am working on with Aya is that she was never socialized off leash with other dogs. She is apprehensive. She has never fought another canine, I can see that, but she does not understand how to relax and play like dogs should. That is what I am working on with her with my shepherds.
If interested, please contact the PAWS Shelter 973.746.5212 or Adena directly at 973.930.8491. If you know of anyone who loves the breed or is looking for a devoted female, please pass along this info.
