Generation Pets Now Offers Boarding...
Many of my clients ask me for recommendations on boarding their canine. I work with many different in-home or facility based boarding locations so it depends on the owner’s preference. But some boarding places do not feel comfortable taking in just any breed or any size. Some prefer only small canines and most do not accept a canine that has a behavior issue. That is where I come in!
Since I know my client's dogs "in & out" especially on a behavior basis they feel more comfortable and at ease for the canine to stay in my care. They know that they do not have to worry while they are trying to relax on their vacation or focus on a business trip. Many people ask me if I train and board. The answer is YES.
This method has become increasingly more popular in this area. The owner drops their dog off for 2 weeks of intensive training with Generation Pets then has their individual sessions with the canine upon return.
What's the difference in training options?
- Owner Instructed : I am training YOU how to train your canine. Most people choose this route. We can either work one on one or you can come into a class environment with other owners and their canines that are dealing with the same dog behavior issues and work together. - Custom Trained: Nowadays most of us have extremely hectic schedules. We want a canine to fill our homes with love, but we just do not have the time to train him/her. That is where I come in. I board a canine for 2 weeks and train the dog both inside and outside of my home, we train in the park and on our walks. I teach the dog how to behave in a car, at PETCO or in a crowded environment. Custom Training takes a lot of time and work, but the outcome is so rewarding. Once the 2 weeks are up, the owner then comes back into play and I now teach them how to handle their newly trained canine!
Rehabilitation: I also rehab aggressive canines for owners who want to keep their dogs but feel inadequate in going through the behavior modification when I am not there and I fully understand and respect that. It can be very scary to handle a canine with aggressive tendencies when you are not used to dealing with it. If you do decide to try and handle an aggressive canine on your own and you are uneducated there is A LOT that could go wrong and most likely someone is going to get hurt. Examples: Interdog, Territorial, Protective, Dominance, Food/Guarding Aggression!
